RP Name: Sepius Phoebus Invictus

Gender: Male

Hometown: A small, peaceful village on the outskirts of Roma. At least it was peaceful, until the Gauls arrived.

Weapon of Choice: Pilum

Personality: The personality that Sepius bears is refined to the tiniest detail. He has no self-control, is not reliable and always thinks of himself; blaming others for his misfortune... Of course, this completely changed once he enrolled for Legio X. Now he is dependable, persuasive and always quick to be caring. Sepius is quick with a comeback and possesses a sharp tongue. Besides this, he also has a continual use of sarcasm, sometimes making him unbearable to be around. Though he loves X~Legion dearly, he finds it hard to place his trust in some of her members. From experience from within the Legion, he understands that in times of hardship you should not lose hope, for if we are united and have faith in eachother, we can overcome anything. As a result, he puts things into perspective and tries to be the solution rather than the problem.

Background: Adventure has forever been a distant thought for Sepius. He was not a warrior. He was not a blacksmith. He was simply a young lad working in stables, under the care of his parents. He worked hard, receiving only meagre denarii for his exhausting duties. But there is no reason to have complaint, for the family, itself, was barely scratching a living. It was not an easy existence, and he was too poor to get much of an education. Nonetheless, Sepius was still well fed and allowed to stay in a small living area above the stables, which is ultimately better than the streets.

Best of all, the stables overlook a small, training ground which consisted of multiple palus. Some time ago, a Legatus of the 10th Legion deemed it necessary to train and discipline soldiers in the areas surrounding Rome. The idea didn't get very far, of course. Most of the soldiers in the village merely sat yawning or lazed around until each training session ended. The Legatus left the village without knowing of his greatest pupil; Sepius.

From a young age, Sepius has dreamt of a glorious life in the outside world - serving Rome. In the time he had to spare, he would constantly watch over the training ground from his window when a session was in progress. He observed, studied and then practiced the art of swordfighting - among various other weapons - and combat manoeuvres and tactics in the confines of his room.

Years passed. Then, the Gauls came. And Sepius, he could not do anything despite plea to his family, for they would not let him fight and urged him to take a horse and run. Run. To Rome. After leaving everything he knew, Sepius ventured out into the mysterious streets of Rome, pleading for anyone or anything to help him, but nothing could be done. Soon, the Legatus found him on the streets, in a dazed state, and recruited him into the 10th Legion. From there, his journey began. Two years have passed since that moment. He has now joined the Invictus Family in-order to better himself and others around him, after his previous mentoring was finally complete.
